In September 2016, WARECOD organized an exchange trip with the aim of creating an opportunity for upstream and downstream communities of the Mekong River to share their knowledge and experience of Thaibaan research, and to raise concerns regarding the river and food security in the Mekong. With great support from CLICK Laos, members of the Thaibaan group in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam had an opportunity to visit Thaibaan groups in the Champasak Province, south of Lao PDR. Sharing after a field trip to Na Hang district

This was the second time I came to Na Hang town, Tuyen Quang district as a volunteer of WARECOD. The 5 days-trip was left in me many memories: I’ve learned a lot about daily life activities and labor methods of local people. That March trip was in the project related to co-management model of fishery resources in Son Phu commune and Na Hang town in 2016. It included activities which supported and maintained the model such as: giving life jackets, monitoring the reservoir, building notice boards.

"My name is Valentin Benoit, I am 22-year-old French student and I work as a 1 month-intern at Center for Water resources Conservation and Development (WARECOD). I’ve heard about the organization via its website and via discussing with a classmate that made an internship in this NGO, who really appreciated the experience. I joined the NGO for several reasons: first, I wanted to integrate the operation of an organization that goes on the field once a month to train the local communities ; then, I wanted to know more about the social impacts of the projects implemented by the Asian Bank of Development.
