Through research activities, people have pointed out many worrisome issues related to water resources for community livelihood activities. Specifically, the aquatic resources have been significantly reduced, the amount of sediment in the river is not as fertile as before, now farmers have to use a variety of fertilizers, pesticides and water quality has been serious decline.
Many solutions have also been proposed by the people to minimize impacts and adapt to environmental changes. One of the proposals is paying attention to increasing community participation in water resource management, especially in monitoring water quality.
